3D is coming

Seems like 3D can't stay out of the news:

• All major TV manufactures are planning on releasing a 3D TV this year
  
• Dreamworks will only release 3D movies from now on
  
• ESPN and Discovery Channel are both planning a 3D channel
  
• The Masters, French Open, and World Cup were/will be broadcast in 3D
  

Regardless of if you like 3D or not, I believe it behooves us to capture our memories in the most future-proof format possible. For example, if color TV sets weren't yet available or perfected, would you capture your child's first steps in color if you could? So, is it time to get a funny-looking camera, or at least tape two iPhones together?
